Default Oil in and around the intercooler hose

I was taking the fan and Rad out to be able to do some A/C work and noticed the intercooler hose has a good bit of oil around it and some inside it. There are no symptoms whatsoever that I can tell from this. Is this normal or something that I should be concerned about before I put it back together? The car does not smoke at all that I have noticed.

This is usually normal if not excessive, have your oil trap checked.

Would I be checking to see if the oil trap is clogged? if so, are there any sure fire ways to tell without taking it all apart?

Well yes, if you have pressure at your dipstick, then it is clogged, but a gauge that Volvo uses measures small amounts of vacuum, you may just stop in and ask them, takes 2 secs.
