I am not making this up- I purchased a 2003 XC70 AWD Volvo last year, used- and of course I love it.
It does not love me.
Recently, the car is appearing to be possessed. When I get into the car (this is random) a loud beep occurs, then i look down only to see the clock- scrolling through every minute... and then the time stops (sometimes I make it stop by pressing in the ****) and I also cannot reset my odometer- it goes to 0 and then right back to the last miles.

Has anyone ever had this occur? I called my Volvo-repair guy (he's awesome) he joked the car was possessed... And then the dealership- they said, "we'll get back to you," and well, it's been a few weeks...

And just to throw it out there- anyone ever had a driver's side heater fail?

 

It may have a DIM problem, instrument module. May need a new one. $$$

 

i have an 02 xc and it does the same thing. the radio also changes modes to am ,fm ,cd.my mechanic said get a priest. possible body control module

 

body control, no such thing on a Volvo.
