Just switched out a radiator on a 2004 xc 70. Car ran fine for about 25 miles then started stuttering and then dying. Now stalls when the car is stopped or slows down. Computer read out indicates a problem with the heat oxygen sensor. Could this cause the stalling?

 

Did one of the intercooler hoses come off?

 

no, i think a sensor was knocked out. Trying to find a volvo repairman in west texas.

 

is there a sensor located in the oil tank? could that cause it to misread the computer if something damaged the dipstick?

 

No sensor there.
It does sound like a blown intercooler pipe to me though.

 

finally got it to a volvo mechanic who figured out the exhaust sensor and the speedometer sensor were blown. Whew! At least it's repairable and not something really awful.

 

Did he give you anymore info on it?
