Happy Friday everyone.

I need to replace the tires on my current 04' XC70. I have Firestone Firehawk GT's on it now and to be honest they held up well but were incredibly noisy. The tires before that were Pirelli's and the side walls were too weak for northern climates, 3 blow outs.

Any advice or any reccomendations?

I am considering the Goodyear GT or Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max...but open to any suggestions.

Michelins are always good, Generals are moving up, too. I do not know if AWD matters to you on tires, they make certain 4x4 models.

 

I just put my second set of Michelin Hydredge tires on the car. The first set got 65,000 miles. They are quiet, great in the rain and snow and best of all wear like iron!

Funny story, I went to a Goodyear retail store last night to get their opinion and after talking to the sales manager he said "your best bet is to go online and see what you want, and order them and ship them to our store". I guess they don't carry anything that would fit the tire rating, but I thought they would try a little more. Oh well.
