Timing Belt Replacement Special Tool?
I'm planning the replacement of the timing belt, tensioner & idler on my '03 XC70. Vadis instructions call for the use of a counterhold, Volvo special tool number 999 5433, toremove the vibration damper as part of the timing belt replacement process. Is removal of the vibration damper necessary to replace the belt, and, if so, is the special tool really required to remove the damper?
Thanks,
Bill
Thanks,

Onve you get the Nut off (32MM) and the 4 10'sthen use a hard rubber mallet or a deadblow hammer that is incased in rubber and Wack the pulley a couple of times and it will fall off
