All,

I may end up having to flat tow (towed vehicle has all four wheels on ground, pulled by a tow bar) a family members car about 700 miles for him when he moves in about a month. Car weighs approximately 2700 lbs. If I put a class 2 or 3 hitch on the 01 XC70, will it tow it ok? I do not have the owners manual for the car so I'm not sure what the tow capacity is?I'm sure folks have towed with their Cross Country's before, how do they tow? Any special concerns?

what engine and is it awd?
