A few weeks ago suddenly the car is whining. It comes on as you start getting above 20mph and gets more pronounced as the speed rises. At 40mph if quite noticeable. As the speed gets higher it doesn't seem to get any worse and the road noise seems to dilute it. It is not related to engine speed and cornering left or right has no effect. Seems to be coming from the center of the car. Sometimes I think its at the trans area but sometimes more the rear.

The check engine light is on and the codes are P108, 410 and 455. I'm sure these are unrelated to the whining noise.
