Hi! I know this question is probably......"goofy"....but I need some fast advice, if possible. I have found a 99 XC70 with 150k miles on it.....CHEAP.....that I am going to go look at tomorrow. (It is about 120 miles from where I live). The pictures look great, the owner (a used car dealer) says it has only one problem...it has according to him..."a low speed miss"...he said that once you get it up to highway speed the miss goes away. I am just thinking...if it is as nice as it looks....it COULD be a good buy. SOOOOO....I am asking you guys/gals.....in your opinion....what is the WORST possible scenario for this "miss" given the total lack of information I have given you. Again...sorry, don't have more details yet....but trying to scout this situation out a bit. Thanks!!!!

 

Possible it could be a bad spark plug or coil.

 

Thanks....I am hoping that is all it is...will know more when I go see it! IF that is the problem....can't get burnt too bad for $2000...don't ya think???

 

If a burnt valve yes about that much. You could find that on a compression test right away.
