04 xc90 radio problems
Hi, im hoping to get some help. So, my radio doesnt power up. Ive read tons about it in forum threads seems a common problem.
Heres the interesting part. When I hook an OBD2 scanner up and have the ignition in auxillary the radio will turn on when I press power. I have full control of the right button panel ( tone, EQ, settings etc ) when the OBD2 is hooked up. The screen works perfectly as well. On the left button panel ( on/off, power, am/fm selector/cd selector ) if i try and turn the volume up nothing happens. If i press am/fm the unit powers down, if i press cd it powers down. If i have the car running and have the obd2 in the radio will not power up. It only powers up in aux.
My questions are... does this mean that only my left side panel is bad and that I dont have to replace the whole unit? Or is it something else i.e. fiberoptics issue?
Has anyone else had similar issues/findings? Thanks
