I have the tools to do all this for my BMW. Cost me $200.

Can anyone recommend a tool that either resets both of the above, or reads the codes or both?

Last time this happened I spent $115 at the dealer to have the SRS reset after a botched stereo upgrade by local installer, which took the dealer all of 15 minutes. BTW BE CAREFUL when replacing the lead units in these cars. I.e. don't. Leave it attached and dangling behind the dash. Or pay extra to have it reinstalled...OK, gripe over.

I am quite happy to fix the problem if it is real but not pay $115 again for a simple reset.

I saw a tool on a Swedish site that stated that it would do this but it is no longer available.
