Default 04' XC90 T6 Comin u on 120k miles need help!!

I am coming up on 120,000 miles in my XC90. I have been told this is some sort of milestone where i have to do a whole bunch of **** to the car so it can last another 100k. What are my priorities? Say I had a fixed budget of $1500..

On a side note, I live in the Northeast, and I have noticed that in the mornings when it is frigid my car makes a clicking noise in rythm with my accelerator. The sound dissipates after fifteen minutes or so, and I do not hear it when it is above 35 degrees or so. I am nervous that this is the dreaded transmission problem that this model is notorious for. I have read however; that, sometimes this is just rust, or lack of lubricant. Or that there may be a simple(cheap) kit to solve this specific occurence.. Can anyone offer me some insight on this?

1st tranny? Yes? prepare yourself for the transmission above all else $3000-6000. Yes, sit back down, close your mouth because it just dropped. to last another 100k it will cost you some money. So if the $4500 average cost to replace the transmission not a cost you want to swallow, trade or sell it now.

yes you saw a t6 in my sig with 150k. it is on its third tranny. firist one 63k, second 137k i bought it at 143k and sunk another $2500ish into upgrades/preventive maintenance items
