Red face 06" xc90 2.5 T timing off

hey guys.
I had a leak around the valve cover "O" rings needing replaced - so I did also decide to replace the T-belt with tensioner since then I have been getting the P0016, P0017 codes

we did lock the cams (have the tools) on the other end before removing the cover and replacing the belt STILL
had purchased the pdf manual from eBay - instructions not completely clear

does anyone have GOOD CLEAR instructions on how to DO this? i had taken the car to an INDY shop european shop here in Plano.tx they want 900 to set the timing correctly - It just seems if I had better instructions I could do it myself i have a buddy who is a mechanic however not experience with Volvos timing procedure

thanks

Here's what Volvo says, I highlighted areas to follow closely - I'm hoping you did not remove the VVT gear, if so other instructions are needed.

thanks a bunch, Hoonk.

I'm going to try to follow those instructions pretty closely as best as I can - I will definitely tell my buddy we need to follow it exactly as stated.
I almost conceded to paying 925 which I thought was kind of excessive considering the t-belt and tensioner are new already!!

one more question:
is it normal that both camshafts have some play ! meaning when t-belt is removed they both have some play rotating left to right without removing the bolts ? I have just been told by another nonevolvo mechanic they shouldn't any play ! that being the case timing wouldn't be able to set correctly ..

Do you have one or 2 VVT gears? If 2 you might need different directions.
