I just bought a vovle xc90 and the first day I got the car it wouldn't start the owner said its the betterie so I got a new one and than while I was driving the car just stalled so I turned on the car and it kept doing the same thing over and over till I pressed on the gas pedal all the and than it started driving but while I was driving it started to jump on me every time I give gas it jumps and than I let my dad drive it and while I was behind him the same thing started to happen to him but I realized there was a little bit of black smoke coming out of the muffler.. Does anyone know what this is ?

 

I'm very new on this forum, but black smoke usually indicates the engine is running very rich. Check you air filter, if okay, then the vehicle should be checked by a garage that can investigate the fuel injection system.
