Default 2005 2.5T XC90 AWD not all wheel driving??

The transmission is only driving the two frount wheels. Could this a problem with a computer component or a fuse perhaps. Anyone had or having the same problems? How is it fixed?

Default Been there

This happened to me too. The gear that drives the rear wheels wore down. They call this an R angle gear or a bevel gear. The part alone is 1600.00 new. I got a used one with low miles for 700.00 all together it cost 1600.00 dollars for repair. I have heard of some people finding out it was a spline and or the spline sleeve. I can't recall the details but, it was a much cheaper fix.

Good luck
