I have been hearing a clunk sound in the front wheel passengerside of my 04 xc 90. Seems as if I can hear a spring noise as well when it clunks. The noise does not seem to change/differ when turning or not. Not sure what the problem is any help?

 

Control arm bushing maybe, ball joint...

 

time for new shocks they are so worn your springs are compressing either that or its a control arm bushing or a joint (ball joint)

 

bushing smushing. had the same issue just in the rear. what you might need is new suspension insulators.
