2005 XC90 Cold Air Leak - Drivers Side Footwell
Hi! First off, I'm a newbe here... both with the site and with Volvo's... I just purchased a 2005 XC90 V8 (my 1st Volvo!), has 1,800 miles and I've discovered a puzzling problem. When travelling at highway speeds, there is a rush of cold air (live in Michigan, and it's that time of year) around the driver's side footwell... mostly leaft hand side of the footwell. It's tough to trace, but seems to be worse around the parking brake pedal. The problem cannot be replicated with the car sitting still and the ventilation system running. We have tried multiple permutations with the climate control system to no avail...
We just got back from a trip to Northern Michigan, I was forced to run the climate contol system full 'warm', and blowing in the footwell area and from my knees to my feet I froze!
Has there been any kind of service bulletin or recall on XC90's with this problem? Has anyone else experienced and successfully diagnosed this problem?
Any thoughts or ideas will be appreciated!
