My 2007 XC90 looks great and runs well, belying its 250K+ miles. It has been a great source of comfortable, safe transportation and has carried lots of kids and stuff a long way. And my family loves it. Only left me stranded twice -- CCU and starter/battery -- but I am now facing some big repair bills that are greater than the KBB trade in/sale values, and figure it's probably time to say goodbye. On the other hand, with a few grand and a little luck I could get years more of that safe comfortable transportation. Am I crazy to even consider fixing and hanging on?

 

I am in the same boat, the car has been amazing, 253,000 miles and now it looks like the Catalytic converters ae going out...……………..no idea what I am going to, it needs to pass smog in December

 

Get the heads done @ 300k or the bank 1 cat will cook again. Used low milage engines are $900 all day.
