Default 2008 XC90 Differential Communication loss

I have the common anti skid service required as well as the yellow icon. I have swapped out the Yaw sensor with no positive results. Had codes pull at auto zone. U011400 - Lost communication with differential electronic module. Looking for some insight before I just start throwing parts at it. Thank you.

Certainly - perhaps a reasonable diagnostic process other than "throw parts at it". Perhaps using a scanner that is not as limited as what you have used. And a brain formulating a rational diagnostic process either with suggestions from your scan tool or some reference material.

Or - How about some diagnostic info other than the Free scan at the local auto parts store? You know sometimes the cheapest route is not the best choice. Each to his own---------------

Or you can simply google your code and come up with all sorts of things to replace, randomly, hoping to actually solve something cheaper than paying someone to fix it correctly the first time, I understand that.

I was just asking if someone has had that code and if so how they went about trying to fix it. I have an appointment in 10 days at a "volvo specialist " to have it scanned and looked at. I was hoping that this was a forum to get helpful information , not holier than tho remarks. Thanks for your help.

I was asking if anyone had experience with this error. But thanks for the long drawn out rant about the obvious. I have an appointment with a "volvo specialist " in 10 days. But I like to work on my vehicles when I can, if I can. I've only had this a week and I've already swapped out the heater blower motor and the rear hatch latch handle.

In Volvo codes - there's no "U011400 - Lost communication with differential electronic module" listed in the ECM. What module was that found in? (list of available ECM U0 codes available for a 2008 xc90 awd below)

In the DEM this communication code below is possible - most commonly caused by a bad DEM that was possibly fried due to a bad haldex pump or corrosion.
