Hello, I have a 2011 Volvo XC90 3.2. I've been trying to find a good service manual, but am having trouble. The only book I can find is for Diesel engines. eBay has a ton of PDF versions, but I don't know which one is the best. I'm on a Mac, so I can't install a program version because they only seem to exist for Windows. I also don't want to pay a bunch of money for a subscription to an online version. Can anyone point me to a really good book or PDF version? Thanks!

 

You really should take advantage of the Factory service manual VIDA. It is more comprehensive than anything in print and is worth the trouble. Parts catalog, service procedures, wiring diagrams (if complete), diagnostics with a DICE unit, - suggestions of how to solve trouble codes - everything you need. There's a free download on swedespeed and can be easily found many other places. Buy a used win7 pro computer or laptop and install it on it. There are Virtual machine options/ Vida on a thumb drive, many ways to make the program run --------

 

Thank you for the reply. I'm really looking for a more affordable solution. I've had the vehicle for a year, and honestly it's been nothing but a money pit lemon. Not interested in buying a computer or virtual machine software just to have a service manual. Looking for something more affordable and less complicated to obtain. Not planning to have the car much longer. Just want something to help with simple repairs so i can get it in good running shape for when I'm ready to sell it. Ive aleady dumped thousands in repairs.

 

you can find a lot of common repairs and maintenance on youtube or websites like fcp euro. there is no printed manual like haynes or chilton. you can get a cheap VIDA clone on eBay from China but i was able to do brakes, suspension, and many other jobs just using stuff found on web.
