My 2006 XC90 T5 with 155,000 miles recently got rear ended and it looks like they are going to total the vehicle. I have had the vehicle since 60,000 miles and it has been a pretty reliable vehicle. The largest repair was removal and repair of the headline at $1,000, other than that, it has been very reliable.

I am looking at replacing it with and XC90 in the 2011 - 2014 model. Price is up to $25k, but I would want to stay under 60,000 miles. I have read a ton of issues on the forum with the new 2016 models, but I haven't really kept up with the 3.2 model years mentioned above. Are there are any years I should avoid or was the model pretty much the same over that 2011-2014 time period? I guess I would consider a 2010 / 2011 V8 model as well, but only if reliability was a lot better on the V8 vs the 3.2.

I searched the history and a lot of discussions are on purchases of used models prior to 2009. I would love to hear some options on the above year models.
