Default Almost fed up with my xc90..... Please give me some advice or hope!

We bought a 2003 XC90 t6 used this past July drive it 2 days and had to replace the entire transmission. It drove fine for a few weeks, then lights came on and we ended up replacing all the coil packs and spark plugs. It drove fine for a couple of days. We went and had the oil changed (full synthetic like requested). It drove fine for a couple of days then the transition went out again.... So after replacing it again it has driven well for about a week. But now the check engine light has come on and an SRS airbag service urgent prompt. I had the engine codes read they are PO497(evaporative emissions system low purge flow) & P2177 (system too lean off idle bank) any ideas on the repairs or what to do for these???

check for vacuum leaks to start. look for any cracked or broken lines - I think there may be a vacuum line that goes to the evap that traces low and may need to be viewed from below. Not sure the connection to the SRS warning light, sounds like somebody misread the codes via a generic OBD2 reader? For SRS warnings you need to pull the "Chassis" codes to tell which airbag is acting up - P codes are related to powertrain. For a quick visual, check for loose or broken connectors under the seats - they can get kicked and create a code.

You can't expect much from a 12 or 13 year old car.

Huh?

My 87 740 now has 488,000 miles on it and doesn't burn a drop of oil. It's only 29 years old.
Sure there's work and maintanence but to buy a Volvo and not expect 12-13 yrs? That's crazy!

If you did your research upfront, you would not have bought the T6 model.
