Antifreeze question
The Volvo manual says to use Volvo antifreeze. I know from my diesel trucks that good quality/fresh antifreeze is crucial to the life of the water pump. Is a good quality (ie:Prestone) long life antifreeze adequate for these vehicles, or do they require something special? On my trucks I use long life with water pump lubricant/antifreeze conditioner to keep my water pumps from wearing out. Will this same combination work for the Volvo?
I don't know what Volvo uses in 3.2 L engine - my Volvo manual is for 2005 and volvo did not have 3.2L then.
BTW VOlvo got "lifetime" tranny fluid as well.
