Default Any experience with installing rear/front view camera

My 2011 XC90 3.2L doesn't have the cameras. I am thinking about installing both front and rear cameras, such as the Rear View Safety cameras advertised here. Not sure how exactly the camera system could be installed. Does the installation involve a lot of drilling, opening up stuff? Will this void some warranty? Any information will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply!

One question for the front camera, how do you wire the camera ( both power and video signal)? It's quite high temperature under the hood. Do you have to route the wires under the car?

Do you provide a complete camera system with the motorized monitor like the original volvo system?

Thanks!

1. There are too many dedicated reverse camera types for Volvo in the market ,you can find one to match your car easily.

2.Regards to front view camera ,sure there are badge front view camera to fit the front logo .But as i know ,seldom volvo car have front badge to be fitting a camera .

3.So the the alternative way is placing an camera onto your front girll area . It was simple job to make it done .No need to punch at all .just install as easy as monut types.

For more info , you can check this blog which fulled of lots of installation ways and images:

Greetings,

Would you have a link to the camera you are thinking about ?
Do you currently have a oem gps in your car ?
If yes, are you going to connect the camera to the gps screen ?
If not, what solution are you going to do ?
Can you add pictures ?

Thanks

I am sorry but this video totally confuse me.
I am looking for someone who DID install a backup camera on a 2008+ XC90 that has the oem gps already. I'm not ready to test things that people did not do yet. Thanks
