I have a 2006 XC90 v8 w. NAV System and would like to add Volvo's a rear view camera. My Volvo dealer says this is only available for the 2007 models. Does anyone know if what the difference is and if Volvo OEM parts are availableto upgrade the2006 model toadd the camera? Would prefer to have it dealer installedto avoid messing with thewarranty. Suggestions appreciated.

 

Can you also let me know if you have any luck with your question? I would also love to add the backup camera to mine for a reasonable cost.

Sensolutions, Inc. currently has a solution called Multi-Media Melbus Module, or iMIV, that works with the Melbussystem in the S60 and s80, Hopefully they will be able to develop something that works with theM.O.S.T system inthe XC90 - 2006 and older. Last week i just bought a rear view camera and fit it myself. I had droven for a few years as the pictures are not clear anymore,i replaced the old and install a new one. Just got a full complete set . It seems the reat view cameras worked perfect. Here many people go for oem ones, I aways try myself and do some special work to have a try.
