apparent overheating problem?
For about the last 6 months. Our "95" XC90 (260,000 miles) has been losing coolest from the overflow tank, which causes the check engine light to come on and post the message that coolest is low. The tank goes empty, but the car doesn't seem to overheat. The tank has been replaced with a new one. The water pump was replaced about a year ago, and since it was still under warranty, the mechanic replaced it again. But the problem persist. If we drive about 60 miles the warning comes on and the tank is about empty.
Any ideas would be great. Because at this point everybody has thrown in the towel. We don't have a Volvo dealer in the area anymore, so sadly this will probably be our last Volvo.
