Assistance with 2006 XC90 Limp Mode after a 12 liter flush
Hi All,
I am currently in negotiation with a current 2006 Volvo XC90 owner in an effort to purchase the
car from him. He told me that the car is in limp mode after a 12 litter flush was done to
the car, he claims he never did the software programming after.
honestly I do not know what a 12 litter flush is but I really like the car and would like to ask you all
:
1.) Do you know if this is a costly fix?
2.) Is it worth investing extra cash on top of the purchase price to fix it.
The following is details he has provided that would help with the repairs.
The car is 2006 XC90 Ocean Race edition
The transmission is a Aisin TF-80SC and programming must be done with VIDA Volvo Software only.
Your help with this matter is highly appreciated.
Thank you.

Update:
I went to inspect the car physically and he confirmed that the car had error code P0800.
Also the engine sounds great but it doesn't shift to any gear, forward or reverse and the dashboard portion that shows the current gear does not change when you physically move the handle from (P) Parking to (D). Maybe this new info might help a bit more.
Thank you
