Hi,

It may sounds strange but I heard people changed their auto transmissions to manual in their earlier Volvo cars. Is it possible in today's up to 2000 models?

Any ideas?

if volvo sold a manual transmission version of the car it would be possible but probably difficult to source the parts (trans, clutch, flywheel, pedal assembly, computer, shift lever and linkage, clutch master/slave cylinder or cable, etc.). it would be easiest with a complete manual donor car as there are brackets and mounts etc also. it would be much easier and cheaper to sell the AT and buy the manual car.
