Default Will a t5 auto gearbox fit 760 v6 auto?

Hi I've just been given a 1989 760 V6 2.8 but think the gearbox (auto) is knackered. It's slow picking up gears especially low ones. I've been offered a guaranteed T5 auto box for 100 quid but wondered if it would fit straight onto my motor?

Any ideas greatly appreciated.

I believe a T5 would be an 850 sub model, and if so, no, it won't fit as that would be a front wheel drive vs the RWD in the 760...

If it's an AW gearbox that is dying, they are very cheap to have rebuilt and is probably the best option if you plan to own the car for some time. Otherwise, a good second hand unit is the go.
