Default In a bad situation. No AWD

Hi All, I just purchased a 2004 xc90 2.5 from out of state. It has an engine leak which I beleive is the camshaft seal. So i'll have to search for that fix. But I do not have AWD. I did a lot of searching. I have a "anti skid service required" display on the dash. I put it up on the lift today to try and find out whats up. I can spin the driveshaft freely. It does not move anything. the rear tires also seam to move independent of each other. On a ussual rear dif. you spin one tire and the other one spins the opposite way. These just seam to spin alone. If I turn one rear tire I can feel a drag on the driveshaft like it wants to spin. So any one have any ideas. I am not sure what is suppose to spin and what is not. Thanks in advance.

bevel gear collar would seem like the culprit.

Well the splined collar was stripped out so I swapped that out and now the AWD works. The antiskid service is still on . Dealer states its from a contact ring in the steering wheel. Ill tackle that after I figure out the major oil leak from the front of the engine.
