battery dead doors locked says it all, the stem at the door panel seems to only come up about a 1/2 inch, any secrets on getting in the car to open the hood?

 

Why can't you use the key in the door lock and open it manually?

 

+1 - note for some models the emergency hard key is slid inside the fob...

 

i have used the key, it wont let the lock stem go all the way up, dont have fob

 

Then you have to pry the top of the door frame out enough to get a long skinny tool in that will reach the inside door release handle to be able to pull it. Google car break in tools for examples. It's best to work on the passenger door rather than the drivers - that way if you scratch something you won't have to see it every time you get in the car. Then get your door lock fixed to avoid this in the future (the door has to be open to get to the door lock mechanism)
