Hi All,
I own a Volvo XC90 Sport SE (2007) and the built in phone has suddenly stopped working in that it cannot make or receive calls. I think it's a problem with the built in antenna but it's only a guess! If it is the antenna, which I think is in the roof panel somewhere, will it be a costly repair? The other thing is I recently had my towbar electrics repaired and it's just possible there may be some connection (excuse pun!) here?

 

Welcome to VF. It is possible that something shorted out. I thought the phone in the XC90 connected to your personal mobile phone to connect and make calls.

 

Hi thanks for your input Andrew. No, the phone is built into the car dash board and all you do is insert your SIM card to activate it. Funny thing is it started working all but briefly last night, so either it's an intermittent fault, or the car antenna is starting to lack gain. I guess I will have to go to Volvo and be ripped off!
