Default Buy 2007 XC90 certified

I am looking at buying a 2007 certified XC90. I have never bought a used car before so a little paranoid.

How good is the Volvo certified warranty. I hear its one of the best. Has anyone actually used it? What does it cover? The dealer says it covers everything other than trim and wear and tear. I know thats too good to be true. I wonder what is the catch.

Also has anyone else has a 2007 XC90, are they happy with the vehicle? The primary reason I like this vehicle is space, we have a 1 yr old, so it is a good peopel hawler and issafe. It has tonne of features for the price point too.

I cant think of any major draw backs. We are planning to buy it in the next week or 10 days as our current lease is up.

I purchased a 2004 XC90 T6 two years ago. It had the certified warranty and I used it more than once on little things that would have cost more that the warranty. At 110000 miles I traded my T6 because my transmission had to be replaced. I purchased a 2007 XC90 V8 with another warranty. So far I am very impressed with the XC90 V8.
Good Luck with your purchase.

One of the complaints I have with my XC90 is it has bad blind spots in the front rear. Gas mileage is not that great. But I rather lose gas mileage for a bigger car that will protect my family. We are very happy with the car. As far as the warranty, I have used it twice and just in those two times it would have cost more than what I paid for the warranty. I would highly recommend buying one. If you do consider purchasing one you can negotiate the price. Call around different dealerships to see the going price then lower it at least $1000. You can get a warranty though a credit union at a cheaper rate. Ask for the 100K warranty.. They will try to sell the 80k for the price of the 100k warranty. Hope this helps.. God Bless

I bought a CPO '07 XC90 and the end of last year and couldn't be happier. All in all it has been a great car. I am having an issue with the locks functioning correctly right now, so I guess I will see on the warranty. I never get all the toys I want on a pre-owned, but I will look into adding some stuff.
