I'm buying a new XC90 for my wife, and I wanted to ask the experts about what trim level and options I should get.

It looks like the T6 is what we want, but I'm not sure if it's worth upgrading from the Momentum to the R-Design, or Inscription trims.

What about the options packages? Is the convenience package worth it?

T6 Inscription with all the factory packages, on 20" wheels, with air ride suspension, heated steering wheel, premium sound, and head-up display.

I've driven several lower equipped XC90s, and love mine in comparison. Go drive a few different equipped models. The smother ride with the air suspension, the tailored dashboard and upper door panels that blends with my black alcantara headliner (note, this has been upgraded for 2018 models to Headliner with A/B/C-Pillars in Nubuck! Nice!). MB doesn't have anything on the XC90 massaging heated and cooled seats, you will want that package for sure, it's my favorite option.
