Question A/C evaporator drain problem

So I bought a xc90 in march, two times in the last month I've had standing water in passenger and driver side floor. Two times I've taken it in to the shop and they have had to cleaned the drain hole. Telling me this was the problem. I find it hard to believe that this happens this often. The guy today said its a Volvo thing.
Any insight?

Much more likely to be a sunroof drain problem

Just had our second in for this recall, it took 2.5 weeks at the dealership to resolve. The water had corroded the connections they use to update the VDDM vehicle software.

Hows the pollen filter? I suppose its possible for debris to get into the case. Just not likely. Hearing the water doesn't mean anything. I hear it all the time when I get a car with leaking, clogged or damaged sunroof drains.

There is a recall for the A/C drain hose that causes water to enter the cabin on the front passenger side. That's what I was referring to in my previous post.

Guess I should have asked what year. I was talking about the older XC90s because it sounded like he was taking it to an independent shop and not a dealer.

Correct, many new XC90s have a recall to check the drains and replace if needed.

Same here, I assumed it was a new one since it was purchased in March but it just as easily could have been a previous year (mine is a 2016).
