Default Cabin air filter

Got another question. I need to know how to replace the cabin air filter. I was told you have to pull off the front cowl cover after first removing the windshield wipers. Is this true?

No that is not true on your XC90.You have to remove the under dash panel on the passenger side. Then look on the bottom of the heater box. There is a black cover with 4 t-25 screws holding it on remove the 4 screws and the cover and you can replace the filter.

Thanks again for your help. I wonder when a service and repair manual will be available to those of us who enjoy working on our vehicles?
