Last week I bought a CPO 2020 XC90 T8 in Atlanta (we live in the Carolinas). We drove it back home for 4 hours and then all around town. Yesterday I parked the SUV in the garage for the first time. It's a tight fit and all the sensors were shouting. At some point the Turtle icon came out and some message about low power mode. The Turtle icon then went away from the CEL remained. I took my OBD scanner and reset the CEL knowing that it's a permanent code so the dealership can still read it. The car drives perfectly and the CEL has not come back. I have a couple of questions:
Is it safe to drive? I have an appointment at the dealership a week from now but I have a long business trip to Charleston planned with the vehicle.
What exactly are these codes? Normally if it's an emission code I wouldn't worry but I am not familiar with this code.
For those of you who have CPO's, I assume this type of CEL is covered under the warranty?
Thanks in advance. My Lexus GX460 was bulletproof. We bought it new in 2016 and owned it for 8 years until trading it in for the plug-in hybrid. We had zero issues with the Lexus but in only a week of owning this Volvo, the sunroof switch (or roof mechanism) doesn't work and now this. Thirty years ago we were a Volvo family (240 DL Wagon, 760 Turbo sedan, 740 Turbo Wagon). I like the brand but didn't except so much trouble in just a week of ownership. I do have an extended CPO for 8 years since its
original inception as peace of mind! .
