CEM issue?

CEM issue?
I have a 2007 XC90 that has started acting strangely and I think it may ne an issue with the CEM.
The first indication that there was a problem was that after shutting the car off, when we went to start it the next time, the dash lights went all buggy and the starter wouldn't engage when the key was turned. One night, the tail lights and marker lights started flashing erratically. The keys weren't even in the ignition. There is an airbag warning on the dash and the traction control light is lit. The whole thing has gone wacky!
i pulled the CEM out and it looks good. No water intrusion or oxidation on any of the connectors. There is some oxidation on the blades of a few of the fuses, but everything on the boards and connectors looks good. I opened the case and got to the mainboards and nothing looks like it has gotten hot or anything. Conformal coating is good.
What now? Can I buy a replacement with the same part number from a car with the same engine and transmission and expect it to work? Or do I need to program it?
i don't want to spend $1000 to fix this and I can get a replacement CEM for a couple hundred bucks.
Thanks!
