Default Charcoal filter or OEM

My '05 XC90 is due for 15,000 service in about a month, and the service includes replacing the cabin filter. I found aftermarket charcoal filter (http://www.eeuroparts.com/productdet...ts=1&code=8020), and the service advisor said they would install it instead of OEM filter.

Anyone had any experience w/ these filters?

My XC90 DOES NOT have air quality suystem.

Default RE: Charcoal filter or OEM

They are easy to install.
Remove the lower dash panel on the Passenger side. Look close to the firewall and you will see a Black cover screwed from the Floor area up to the Box. Remove the 2 front screws and pull the Black panel down and you will see the filter. If you have the thin one then you can just slide it out.
If you have the Big one then you will have to remove the Back 2 screws and the panel all the way.
