XC90 V8: The check engine light comes on every other day; almost always when idling. Nothing seemly wrong with the engine performance. I took the car to the dealer and they reflashed the software; the CEL still comes on. I borrowed a code reader and got errors P0089 and P0193. Both seem to be related to fuel pressure. I am leaning towards the fuel rail pressure sensor. Has anybody experienced the same? Any input/suggestions?

 

Ours XC will not connect to any code reader I've tried. Would you mind divulging the brand and model of the reader you used?

I'd appriciate it and so would many others from what I can tell from many posts, not only here but other forums.

 

BKYoder- I don't know the specific kind; I just went to my local Advance Auto Parts and used theirs. It is a free service that they offer.
