Anyone have a problem with the chrome around the windows having a cloudy film on them? Anythign work to clean them? I read somehwere that this is a warranty issue, anyone have luck with that? I want to know asap as i have 3k miles left on warranty. I am the second owner and I bought it thinking that some cleaning solution would take off the film Any help will be appreciated.

 

Yes, mine has that along with every other XC90 that I have noticed. I've tried polish and some other products with no success.

I called customer service requesting that Volvo do a recall, since every XC90 that I’ve checked has had the same issue of poor quality. They sent me a 20% off coupon for parts.

So, I checked replacing the trim which would be around $2,000 installed and I probably would end up with the same poor quality.

I also checked getting them painted chrome at a body shop, they recommend against chrome painting, something along the lines that chrome painting doesn't hold up well.

I'm considering going back to the body shop and getting quotes to have the trim painted black.
