Considering '05 XC90 V8 - any problems I should know of?
Would like to buy a 2005 XC90 V8.
Trying to do my "due diligence."
Are there any issues with this model I should know about before buying?
Many thanks.

check AC/heat system if it works properly -if not software upgrade may be needed, otherwise, nothing major.
Also, check tires for even/uneven wear-may need wheel alignment.
What is the mileage on that '05 V8 ?

I would make sure to have the recalls taken care of.

Also, make sure to follow scheduled maintenance; this is where 80% (or more) people fail to do.
Test drive/take it to your mechanic for pre-purchase inspection and look for problems (fluid leakages, unusual noise, questionable handling/engine & tranny performance).
I wish you the best of luck in finding a decent XC90

otherwise the car still is under warranty..recalls are usually done when you bring it for "free" maintenace
First yr of production for my opinion is to get a 06 instead. not to mention electrical system in 05 is changed completely for the 1st yr so reliablilty of electrical system can be an issue.
