Default park assist is loud

We got our 07 xc90 v8 sport with park assist, both front and rear (for my wife)...the beeping in the car is LOUD...I didnt think twice about it but the loaner wagon we got had it too and it was so quiet-quiet enough to not be a nuisance but still clearly audible with the radio on.
I asked the dealer and they said the are not adjustable.

I know there must be a way to reduce the volume on these things...Can anyone help with suggestions?
Kind regards,
pablo-

Depending upon where the sound comes from - the radio speakers or its own "beeper/chime" somewhere in the vehicle’s interior, it could be difficult or easy. If the sound is from a beeper/chime and not the radio speakers, you should be able to install a rheostat in the electrical supply line to that beeper and turn the volume down to the desired level. Keep in mind that many beepers are either “on” or “off” and a rheostat won’t help, but you may also be able to mute the sound of this type of beeper by stuffing the small sound outlet hole with a bit of tissue. I did that on the chime of an Escape and the sound was muted very nicely.

Now, finding the source and getting to that source, well, that’s another story.
