I had a similar problem, luckily the cable was just bad. If you are one hundred percent sure its a good cable here is a trouble shoot. Turn up the stereo all the way. Turn the phone or MP3 player up all the way. Slowly plug into the port. When the tip of the plug is passing by the first connection either the right or left side only should put out some noise. When the plug is in all the way both should work. Good luck, to be sure I would buy a new cable

it uses a unique plug into the factory harness. only the dealer or one of the online dealer parts depts. will likely have it.

Bringing this back from the dead. I just purchased an 07 XC90 and the auxiliary jack is messed up. I think this is the issue...only the left side is working and the right side just has a buzz. Does anyone have any idea how much to fix/replace this piece? Is this a DIY job that I can take on?
