Angry cooling pipe problem

Dear allI own a 2015 model XC90 D5 at Turkey with the chassis number YV1LFA4BCG1034569 and with motor number D404T111383864. My car is at 62000 km however; in these 4 years almost every part of the car has been changed. You can control it from your records.

My car’s 60000 km maintenance has been realized on 5 November 2019 I believe antifreeze control has been realized as well; on 22 November recall turbo hose etc. have been replaced.

Most recently on 19 January my car has stayed at night with -10 degrees and the next morning after a drive of approximately 15 km “Engine Cooling Water Low Level” warning signal lit up. When I take the car to the service the part, which you can see the picture of in the attachment, has been replaced. Also I was told that the car’s warranty had been expired and that the part wouldn’t be covered by the guarantee.

For almost 40 years I have been driving different cars from different brands and I have never seen a recirculation pipe to crack in this kind of small window.

I don’t think that this kind of fracture can be caused by a user mistake. I wanted to inform Volvo about a deformation of materials used in their prestigious car. I don’t even want to think what would happen if this kind of accident have happened in a long distance ride.

I hope Volvo team would take the necessary actions and keep me updated about them.

Regards…
