Hello,
My starter on my 2007 XC90 went so I got a new one.
I successfully removed the bad one but as I was about to install the new one I noticed that one of the wires had been pulled out of it's clip. It is a three wire clip with a red white and black wire.
One of the wires pulled out the Molex connector the other two just broke off before the Molex connector.
Now I don't remember pulling anything hard enough to do that but the exposed Molex connector and the broke / cut wires look so clean I have to believe that I did. The wire is only about 4-5 inches long so it had to be plugged in nearby,
but hours of searching later by me and two gear head friends of mine and we can't figure out where it came from!
Can anyone please tell me what these wires are supposed to plug into?

did you ever find out where those three wires go. We ate having the same issue/problem
