Where does this wire belong?

Default Where does this wire belong?

87 na Volvo 244
Not sure where this is suppose to be connected, please help

Doesn't necessarily have to be connected to anything--Volvo cars have all kinds of unused wires, plugs, connectors, etc. for optional equipment that wasn't installed in various world markets. This may be the case here, not saying that it is.
Is everything functioning as it should, or are you chasing a problem?

Alright thanks, I was just cleaning up some electrical connections and saw that lone connector

Then I wouldn't worry about it, there are several loose connectors in all Volvos.

One of those wires (many, many years ago) I would connect a special tool with an led in it to set the basic idle. After a while we never used it, other methods worked better to get a reliable idle setting.
