Default Drive Train Fluid recommendation?

Hello,

I own a 2007 XC90 V8. My XC90 is approached the 75K miles mark and the CPO just expired as well. Anyways, when do you change out the transmission and front and rear differential fluid? I called the dealership about the transmission fluid, the technical advisory told me that the fluid is a lifetime fluid and the only time they changed it out is when they work on the tranny or the tranny is leaking. I changed the transmission fluid on every car that I owned past and the present regardless. However, not sure on the Volvo XC90 because this is our very first Volvo...

Any recommendations what I should do? Original owner manual did not come with the car when we purchased it.

Thank you in advance.

Jay

I would get an owners manual. They are cheap and easy to come by. Matter of fact, Volvo has one on their website.

Not sure about the change. I do mine ever 25,000 but every 50,000 should be fine.

There is no recommended interval for the transmission unless used for towing, in which case it is 52,500 miles. Be sure the adaptives are reset after flushing.

There is no recommendation for the angle gear or rear differential. They don't even have drain plugs.

I should be okay since I don't even have a hitch on this XC90. So far, the XC90 is extremely quite, meaning the differential that is... The last Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD had the rear differential rebuilt at 52K miles, thanks God for extended warranty.

Thanks guys.
