Engine Problem Question
Hello,
My wife just got an XC-90 from a private owner and we drove it two hours to Charlotte last weekend. The engine started making this knocking noise while driving to work on monday. The sound seems to be coming from the left side of the car near the engine belts. Everything seems ok on it visually and I can't seem to pinpoint the noise besides that. The check engine light did come on.
Has anybody expierenced this problem yet. I thought it my be a timing belt but it's a V8 and I'm told they have a timing chain.
