Default RE: question about flame trap for 96 glt also seafoam question

Hello again mordezmoncou,

As my 850 was a turbo, I don't know much about the flame trap but the following may be of help:

http://volvospeed.com/Repair/ftrap.php

I wouldn't worry about the brake booster; its lines hardly need cleaning.

If I were to use any type of cleaning additive, that would be Techron fuel system cleaner (the larger bottle would be better). I would never bother engine treatment or engine oil additive (tranny fluid additive, coolant additive, etc...), as they can neither benefit or harm anything in most cases.

Also, if you don't have a service manual, like Haynes, I would get one and it's a cheap &beneficial investment though it lacks some vital info for serious servicing.

I hope this helps.
