I was driving my 2007 xc90 last night and I heard a loud noise and the car slowed. I was able to get home but struggled to get to 80km an hour. It felt that there was reduced power. I'm trying to find out what went wrong. Can any faults show up on car or has it got to go for diagnostics check. I assume the car has gone into safe mode and I intend driving it to mechanic tomorrow. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.

 

I had sometihng simuliar, not exactly so take with a grain of salt. my plugs had gone out (one of them) another time the intake to butterfly valve fell off. and that gave me a hard trip home.
